Gunther Welcomes You
A deep sense of foreboding comes upon you as you walk down the longest hallway in the darkened basement. Distant noises whirl around you as you advance forth. A low rumble, followed by a muffled growl. You don't know whether the noise is coming from behind you, in front of your, or even above or below you. All you really know is that you're wishing you were anywhere but here right now. Your entire body shivering, you continue, holding your torch forward boldly to light the way. It flickers suddenly, threatening to go out. You whisper a silent prayer to ANY "Unseen Entity" within earshot. The candle's tail flutters for a bit, then regains it's strength. Undaunted, you continue on your way. Suddenly, you step in a puddle, and a warm, wet liquid splashes against your leg. Not even stopping for a moment to consider exactly what it is, for fear that it may very well be one of the many phantasmagorical images flashing through your mind presently, you hurry forth. Finally, you come upon a simple bolted door, with bars in it's small window. There is a simple metal latch fastened securely against the door. You hold your torch up to a dull message scrawled across the door in deep crimson. "DO NOT FEED THE GUNTHER." the message says. You reach for a nearby step, resting next to a bucket of fish-heads. You stand on the wooden step, hoping to gain a few more inches of height, just enough to peer into the small, barred window. You gaze into the room for many moments, not spotting any movement whatsoever. All is darkness within the tiny chamber. Suddenly, you spot a pair of moon yellow eyes staring back at you. Something moves within the room, and your heart skips a beat. 'What is that thing?!!' you wonder. Before you know it, your hands are firmly gripped against the bolted door's latch, and you feel yourself about to turn it.
What will you do?
Turn the Latch, and Try To Open the Door
Toss In the Bucket Of Fish-Heads Just To See What Happens
Exit the Dungeon (And In A Hurry!!!)
Leave the Castle
